Gratitude Network Announces New Board Directors

Pleasanton, CA – Gratitude Network, a global leadership development non-profit, is pleased to announce the appointment of three new Board Directors, Colleen Atkinson, Janet Miller and Amy Cole to its Governing Board.

“Our search to expand the board began in 2019 as we sought to address diversity, equity and inclusion. The new Board Members are distinguished, not just in their individual stellar credentials and what they can add to the governance of The Gratitude Network, but in their commitment to social change. I’m confident our entire program will benefit from their insights as we continue to scale,” says Randy Haykin, Founder and Chairman.

The Board plays a key role in advancing the mission of Gratitude Network by actively setting the strategic direction of the organization. With a focus on training social impact leaders to enable change in the world, its programs focus on training brilliant leaders and building their skills in order to benefit more children and youth around the world. 

Colleen Atkinson has a 25 year career dedicated to corporate banking. She is experienced in credit underwriting, risk management/analytics and investment advisory & securities trading, but her passion and responsibilities lies in the development of new business relationships and providing trusted consulting for financial solutions. She currently serves as the Managing Director of the Professional Banking Division of CBC leading a team of front line relationship managers dedicated to business development and ambassadorship in the SF Bay Area. 

Amy Cole is a Mergers & Acquisitions Intermediary, business consultant, marketing expert with  30+ years expertise including executive roles in both private & public firms plus client advisory engagements: business sales and acquisitions, exit planning, business valuations, strategic marketing and revenue growth. She is a recognized industry leader and speaker focused on closing business sales transactions for business owners with revenues up to $30 million.

Janet Miller is recognized as a thought leader in business and her community.  Janet is known for achieving results through effective strategic planning, hiring and coaching winning teams, and building excellent client relationships. Her corporate experience included leadership and management roles at Fortune 100 companies, FedEx, IBM, UPS, and Comcast. Janet is a Member of the Advisory Board for Oji Life Labs.

John Brown is executive coach who helps Stanford’s faculty and staff navigate the challenges that come with working at one of the most esteemed schools in the world. He leverages skills as a licensed marriage and family therapist and a certified coach to provide holistic and personalized support to my clients, whether they are dealing with life transitions, relationship issues, career goals, or personal dreams.

As a former marketing and inclusion and diversity leader at Apple and Dell, I also have a deep understanding of the business world and the demands it places on individuals and teams. 

The new Members join the following seasoned Board Members charting Gratitude’s course:

Don Errigo has a 25-year career in building executive teams and is an active angel investor and venture limited partner. Don is committed to philanthropic causes that focus on economic and social empowerment. 

Harry Kellogg has a career spanning 30-years and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Silicon Valley Bank. Named by Upside Magazine as “100 people who changed the world”. He is actively involved in many civic and industry organizations and serves on their boards and advisory boards. 

Jim Marggraff received Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year Award”. He is also the author of How to Raise a Founder with a Heart   Jim’s inventions have impacted more than 100 million children and adults. 

Mike Schwab has 25 years in sales and marketing and is focused on financial development for Gratitude Network. 

David Stiehr has a 30-year history of developing and bringing new technology into new markets. He is motivated by the opportunity to change the world.

Steve Kirch has more than 30 years in high tech and also certified to teach “7 habits of highly effective people” 

Laura Traxler has developed a long career at Bank of America where her last role was Managing Director. Laura enjoys her work in nonprofits and seeing the difference she can make. 

Randy Haykin, Founder and Executive Director Gratitude Network has been in the Bay Area/Silicon Valley for 30+ years with highly successful careers in technology, marketing, venture capital and coaching and loves working with entrepreneurs and corporate leaders who are making impact both in high tech and social/impact fields. 

Gratitude Network is a non-profit organization that develops leaders of game changing social enterprises globally through its one-year fellowship. To date Gratitude has worked with over 110 social entrepreneurs, in 55 countries, impacting over 34 million children globally.
