CABB Awards Cole with CBB Lifetime

The Board worked together to recognize members who have gone above and beyond to uphold the ideals for which CABB was founded. They created the Lifetime CBB (LCBB) Designation to ward to those who have earned and maintained a CBB for at least 12 years and been active in dealmaking.

Why Use a CBB?

Selling or buying a business is often one of the most crucial financial transactions in an individual’s life. In most cases a business represents a significant component of family wealth and the owner will be keenly interested in maximizing this value when the business is sold to an outside third party or key employee, or transferred through an orderly succession to a family member. Thus, every business owner should ensure the best and most professional representation is retained to accomplish a successful sale.

Maximize Your Business’s Value with a Certified Business Broker

Expertise: A CBB brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in business valuation, marketing, and negotiation to ensure you get the best price for your business.

Confidentiality: With a CBB, sensitive information about your business sale remains discreet, protecting your interests and your employees.

Qualified Buyers: A CBB has access to a network of serious, vetted buyers, increasing the likelihood of a successful sale.

Time-Saving: Selling a business is time-consuming. A CBB handles the complexities of the sale, allowing you to focus on running your business until it’s sold.

Legal and Ethical Standards: A CBB is bound by a code of ethics and are knowledgeable about legal requirements, reducing the risk of post-sale disputes.

Why use a CBB?

The CBB designation is a professional credential earned by experienced and dedicated Business Brokers who are members of the California Association of Business Brokers (CABB). It is only awarded following continuous education and demonstrated superior working knowledge of Business Brokerage skills. This difficult-to-obtain designation has been awarded to less than 100 recipients statewide.

Education: A CBB must complete required educational courses in addition to attending CABB, IBBA or M&A Source Conferences for professional development and re-certification every four years. The expert guidance offered by a CBB will bring peace of mind and security to a process that can be complex and challenging. This credentialed professional can help sellers and buyers navigate the sale and acquisition process smoothly and methodically and assist in achieving a win-win transaction. When considering the sale or purchase of a business, work with a professional: a California Association of Business Brokers – Certified Business Broker (CBB).
